Webinar: Common Barriers to Healing From Grief

We were contacted by the First Nations Telehealth Network (FNTN) to give a webinar about some of the challenges associated with healing from grief.
I was so excited to have an opportunity to speak on this topic - something I'm deeply passionate about, in order to help others get an understanding of the importance of focusing healing efforts on the loss itself, as opposed to "grief-adjacent" matters.
It's important to remember that grief is a universal experience, and yet no two instances of grief are quite the same. What connects us is the shared emotional pain. What we most deeply long for is fellow witnesses to our lived experiences and affirmation of what we're going through.
It can be hard to get through the cloud of unresolved grief, all the way to the source (which is the loss itself). But by focusing healing efforts on the loss, all the things that come with it, such as anxiety, feelings of helplessness, procrastination, etc., can become a lot easier to deal with.
For best results, treat the source, not the symptoms.
Remember: You are at least 1% responsible for your grief - and that means you have the power to heal. (Watch the webinar for more information on how you're responsible for your grief.)
Yours,
