Last week I talked about the importance of caring for our caregivers. Today, I'm thrilled to announce our very first public workshop. The topics covered in this workshop have been curated with long-term caregivers in mind.
We've partnered with Lethbridge Counselling Services and Lethbridge Family Services to develop information and practical skills to help long-term caregivers handle the emotional cost of care and the effects of losing someone after long-term care.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 from 10AM-3PM, with lunch provided between 12PM and 1PM. Venue to be determined, but will be hosted in Lethbridge.
Registrations are open and will continue until December 20th. Registration fees are $60 for an individual, and decrease for larger groups, so we encourage teams of caregivers to register - not only for the discount, but to empower multiple members of a caregiving team. 100% of registration fees are put back into our The Answer is "Yes" Grief Care Subsidy Fund, future workshops, and continue provision of education and resources to Albertans.
If you have any questions about the workshop or the registration process, please email support@lomna.ca or call or text 403 332 0116
We look forward to our first community collaboration in Lethbridge and to helping the people who give so much of themselves to the care of others!
I've included the event poster below for easy sharing.
Yours,
Jes Knoop
